Freedompark Winterswijk

A city-like park, is emerging right in the centre of the village Winterswijk. Wide car dominated streets have been transformed into a clear and elegant brick serpentine, public squares for events and a waterplay element are created in the corners of this park street. An iconic mega boulder found in the surrounding of Winterswijk has descended on one of the squares and became part of the waterplay element.

In the heart of the park a lawn to relax on, framed by a wide granite sitting edge which emphasizes the park-character of the place. The building in the middle will be transformed into a pavilion where you can sit on the terrace while children are playing in the park, for instance on the huge eagle owl that will arise as a joyful playing element in the middle of the park.
