Sunny Side Sloterdijk
The Sunny Side is an iconic green and homely part of the city, where the inhabitants can participate and influence their own environment. The concept of Bouwblok 8 is a stacking of building blocks with green at the sidewalks and façades and a luscious, enclosed garden.
Eyecatchers of the vertical garden city are the hundreds of oversized flower pots with plants, trees, bushes and herbs.
The flower pots are the base of our ‘plug ‘n play’ greenery concept, which we developed together with the Dakdokters. The concept is simple, the pots can be clicked on the building and connected to the rooftop watering system. Next to the collective pots the inhabitant get some pots to fill up themselves.
